NOT CONVENIENT
My son recently moved to Lansing, MI to attend college. He tried to deposit money onto my Comerica Convenience Card. He went into the branch twice in one day and was told he did not have the correct number of digits for my account. He went back into the branch on July 24 several days later and the assistant manager, Christine explained he could not deposit any money into the account because I was not present and he did not have my ID. I called and spoke with Christine and she told me that was their policy. This really bothers me. One, my son has excellent communication skills and very polite demeanor. He is American African and I hate to think this was racial discrimination. I live in a very affluent area in Oakland county and I have deposited money into both of my sons account without them being present. I am very disappointed in the customer service provided by this branch. I felt embarrassment and shame that when I called a second time after verifyING the policy with the number listed on the card. I called the branch again and Christine was not available and a young American African man took my call. He was very polite and cordial but he was not helpful. This is exactly why I prefer credit unions and I will get a Walmart Card to use for other purposes.
