Drive Thru
I was trying to cash a Suntrust check that a friend had written me today and I waited for quite a bit in the drive thru. Once I pulled up I was told that because I didn't have a Suntrust account I would have to go into the bank. I did not see a sign stating that the drive thru was for Suntrust customers only. Had I seen a sign, I would have left gone into the bank. Because I had a Suntrust check, I don't understand why it couldn't have been cashed through the drive thru. Once inside, I had to wait for awhile once again because both tellers were busy with other customers. When I did state that I didn't understand why I couldn't be helped in the drive thru, I was offered to bank with Suntrust, the teller recommended, then I could use the drive thru. This policy is very off-putting for me and does not make me want to ever consider banking with Suntrust. Please put up a sign that it very noticeable at the Short Pum Suntrust branch so that people do not waste their time and get frustrated with the drive thru service when it is not accessible to them.
