VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF
We having been banking at this branch on Ogden Ave for over 30 years, going through all the sales and name changes. As Standard Bank, I can not over-exaggerate the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They are the only bank I have ever used where the staff greets you by name. In addition, they go through each tranaction, for example when a CD is coming up on a maturity date, the bank official will go through all the options and help you choose the one that is best for you. Every person in the bank will take the time needed to finish your transaction without making you feel rushed. If you want to cash a check or make a withdrawal and want your money in ones, fives and tens, that is what you will get - not the usual fast count of all twenty dollar bills. This is truly a "community bank" despite SB being a large corporation. The other bank (credit union) we use just got rid of all their "real people" and now we talk to an unknown face on a computer screen. I commend Standard Bank for keeping this branch open - a branch that truly serves the community, where an actual person is there to help you and what makes banking at this SB branch a pleasure.
