LOAN OFFICERS are TERRIBLE
I recently purchased a home using the SECU branch on slater road in Durham. At the time of closing I was to receive my money back because the loan officer who you would depend on to make sure all costs were covered in the loan made an "honest mistake" that cost my $1000 of cash out of my own pocket. To try and help the situation she offered a loan of $1000 to make up for the cash I just lost. It doesn't take someone who does math everyday to note that that is the stupidest offering when you are the reason some lost the money in the first place. Not only was she unhelpful in finding a resolution but the bank manager couldnt' be of assistance either. Do not get a home loan from the is branch. The loan officers do not know their math and can only give a simple "I'm sorry" when it isn't their money on the line.
